LR INTERIOR ARCHITECTS

WBPS PROJECTS

To establish WBPS as a gathering place for communication and culture in the community, providing a public place where residents of the local community can freely communicate culture and share knowledge. Build a sense of community culture. The building retains the industrial historical trace, protects the heritage building structure and propagandizes the architectural history and culture. At the same time, by introducing nature into the interior space, the whole design serves as a pioneer in promoting the development of green cities and promoting the concept of healthy living. Hand in hand with nature, emphasize the awareness of environmental protection, promote the harmonious development of cities, and inherit the spirit of industry.

A flagship cultural project will change the image of a city and act as a catalyst for economic and cultural development. However, in most cases, flagship culture as a catalyst for the city does not depend on the appearance of the building alone, but also the location of the building and the cultural atmosphere of the city and the neighbouring community. Therefore, for a successful flagship cultural building, the location and the cultural amenities of the neighbouring community are essential.

Preservation and transmission of culture.

The solution to the legacy of the industrialization process.

There are too few public spaces in the community.

‘’ Work to heritage buildings should conserve what is important about them, and provide the opportunity to reveal and interpret their history, while also providing sustainable long-term uses. ‘’

design strategy
Assuming that a preexisting building is a place to embed and preserve the relationships between different memories connected by this process, and through a project space that needs to be reactivated in response to emerging needs and behaviours of new users, it can be imagined as an adaptive reuse work involving places, memories, and identities. From this perspective, adaptive reuse becomes a crucial area for strategic action, not only about environmentally and economically sustainable urban development, but also, most importantly, as an opportunity to forge intergenerational and cross-cultural connections in an increasingly stratified and heterogeneous context. And change society. It may also play an important role in promoting the concept of "citizenship" based not only on politics, race, city of birth or origin, and a sense of belonging but in its simplest, a set of "emotions that lead to feeling" at home "with them.

'' Restoring a building does not mean maintaining it. It must not be repaired or rebuilt. It means rebuilding it in a finished state that may never really have existed at any given time. ''

As the site has historically functioned as a special power station, it isolates itself from its surroundings. The site, therefore, has a weak interaction with its surroundings and needs to be made more communicative.

There is a lack of educational facilities around the site. The site should be given some educational function to help enhance the value and social role of the site.

As a historical site, an exploration of the building itself and its surroundings reveals how people used the site at the time. And how people lived at that time in history, in the power station. This reflects not only the way people worked for a generation but also represents the technology and culture of the time.

There is a lack of publicity and protection facilities for local culture around the community, and the lack of landmark buildings makes residents lack a sense of community.

With the development of human society, people lack awareness of environmental protection. In order to better set up the value of green life, improve the social green industrial chain, and develop towards the goal of green city

Due to the artificial reclamation of the land and the deforestation of the native mangroves. Native plants are very rare. There is a lack of plant life on the site and plants are an important part of helping to address the pollution.

strategy

By introducing a large amount of public infrastructure, the venue is activated and enriched with connections to its surroundings. The introduction of public spaces can help a venue to establish its own calling card very well.

As the site has historically functioned as a special power station, it isolates itself from its surroundings. The site, therefore, has a weak interaction with its surroundings and needs to be made more communicative.

For historical sites, complete preservation is not realistic due to their specificity and is not conducive to the building itself. Therefore it is important to abstract the cultural characteristics of the building and then change the abstract elements and re-implement them on the building. The heritage and innovation of the architectural culture are completed.

The design is designed to meet the needs of residents for public space safely while concentrating public space, and urban facilities, to create a local social card.

By referencing plants and botanical elements, creating Sydney bush and other urban elements that add to the fun of exploration, adults and children alike will be able to discover their own adventures on the grounds.

The green attributes of the site are increased by introducing plants into the site while organising the site so that they can grow freely. And by involving the plants in the experience of the building over time as well. Completing the rebirth of the plants.
